Mobile Advertising System – Do you want to find out how to se SMS to implement your one-to-one Marketing campaign and get a very high loyalty of your customers? Read more on WIN10.

The success of SMS messages has turned them into a powerful tool for mobile marketing. Win10 has been designed to exploit this potential, through an innovative rewarding system which allows the user who watches a short commercial to send SMS messages for free. It is such an innovative system that it was necessary to licence it.

WIN10 is a service which allows the owner of a 3G terminal to send SMS messages for free from their own mobile device via the Internet, after viewing a commercial on their terminal. Built on a client/server logic, it is then based on the interaction between an application present in the mobile and a remote service centre, which records and distributes all the information needs by the system. All you have to do is install the software in your terminal and register after a quick profiling, after which you have immediate access to the service. The complete display of an advertising message concerning a particular brand allows the user send a preset number of sponsored posts, where – in other words – the last characters out of the 160 making up the message are reserved to the advertising company and the system automatically records the update of the user’s credits. The mechanisms of targeted advertising inherent in the operation of WIN10, allow those Companies which wish to implement a model of direct marketing with their customers to create a user community upon which to develop promotional and loyalty actions, etc… All this based on the possibility, given to the user, to “send SMS messages” for free in return of the display of advertising messages concerning the Company.

The platform allows:

Exchanging data through secure protocols (HTTPs SSL128bit)

Using from now on Symbian and J2ME platforms (the iPhone platform being at the development stage)

Interfacing to the user in a transparent way with the functions of their device (phonebook, T9)

Profiling the user on their registration through the entering of their data and the selection of the areas of interest (updatable at all times)

Updating the client remotely

Maximum management flexibility

The WIN10 platform is completely configurable by our customers, who are able to establish the duration of the promotional campaign, the number of SMS messages offered per commercial and the duration of their validity. Besides, it can automatically adapt the multimedia advertising contents to the type of device, both with respect to its format (video/text) and size (video resolution).

A new way to organize prize contests

The possibility to customize, in the area reserved to the sponsor, each sent SMS message, allows activating new ways of participation in prize contests, enabling the user to send their friends directly the code of participation in the contest.

Accurate user profiling

On registering to the service, the user creates their own profile, entering their personal data (age, gender and place of residence) and specifying their areas of interest. This allows addressing commercial information targeted to the different clusters, guaranteeing a permission-based perspective. That’s the dream of any advertiser.

Strengthening the brand loyalty

WIN10 is configured as a newly developed relational advertising platform capable of allowing the brand to be constantly present in the user’s mobile terminal and retain its members around the service provided. The client’s automatic update and its simple graphical customization allow establishing a positive ad daily relationship between customer and company. Here’s another dream come true.

Remote Monitoring Platform – From our experience in the management of Systems and complex Networks was born WICO. The application of wireless technologies extends the possibilities of remote control and management to an incredible variety of systems, objects and situations. The control of what matters to you in the palm of your hand!

WICO is a data collection, monitoring and analysis system which, through a flexible and innovative architecture, is applicable to many different and incompatible contexts, thanks to a plug-in system which allows detecting any type of event, e.g. displacements and accelerations of buildings, for their static control and seismic risk analysis; operating temperatures, output power, solar radiation, etc., in the management of a photovoltaic module installation; analysis of the soil and environmental conditions for the control of high-quality agricultural crops.

The distinctive feature of the product is its architecture, which allows its use for the detection and analysis of the data acquired from a wide range of different types of sites, each being different due to its specific control and measurement needs. The operation of the system is described in the following diagram.

In a typical scenario, the data gathered by the sensors, distributed on the different sites to be monitored, are sent to the control centre (via a transmission channel provided by the system, both wire line and wireless). The SOC (System Operation Centre) deals with their processing and, in case of alarms or exceeded preset thresholds, with the activation of the management and escalation strategies best suited to the specific case (sending of intervention messages, generation of reports, actions on the controlled equipments, etc.).

Maximum compatibility with the detection instruments

WICO allows supporting different detection instruments (e.g. accelerometers, thermometers, hygrometers, etc.). The inhomogeneity of the usable sensors is managed providing a generic sending of data to the “System Core”. Thus, the system does not place any constraints on the type of data received, which are processed as binary information streams, allowing supporting the widest range of detection sensors.

Complete homogenization of the data collected

The support to different detection instruments and data transfer technologies involves a need to manage highly differentiated contents which are processed by the system and transformed into a generic and standard format (XML), so that they can be further analyzed.

A wide range of data transfer technologies

Besides the support to different sensors, WICO offers different variety of terminals capable of receiving its information and alarms: system can be accessible via PC (with an HTML interface) or via mobile phone (through mobile site or via SMS). This differentiation is managed by “Input Interfaces”, whose task is to pilot at low level the data input channels (e.g. mobile phone to receive SMS messages, network adapter to receive Wi-fi).

Optimization of the analyses to the application context

The system input data come from virtually very different sites (buildings or monuments, amongst others). It is therefore possible to develop special plug-ins that implement the specific data analysis and control logic for the site under monitoring. This allows monitoring the different sites connected to the system with the most appropriate measurement instruments and applying analysis algorithms calibrated case by case.

How we can help you

The main objective of the activities we offer to our customers consists in verifying the functioning and reliability of the devices in the operator’s network. The testing and monitoring activities are directed towards ascertaining that services and devices behave both according to the industry standards and to the customer’s needs.
In particular, we operate on:

Mobile Devices

Mobile Applications

Data Cards

SIM Toolkit Services

Web Portal Subscribed Services

In detail, the activities consist in planning, documenting and managing testing activities on latest-generation terminals and in executing trials and/or functional and inter-operability tests (IOT) on products/systems within the wireless application.
Our services also include analysis and problem solving activities with regard to technical problems relevant to the IOT between terminals and network elements, the production of Test Lists and Test Instructions, Testing plans and drawing up of reports on the activity results.

Our approach

The testing of a mobile application is different from the testing of a traditional application. In fact, a proper approach must take into account the special features peculiar to the mobile paradigm:

The continuous putting on the market of new mobile devices which has led us over time to the creation of a warehouse of our own, continuously updated with the most wide-spread devices, allows us to offer a complete turnkey service

The greater sensitivity to issued related to security and loading in the wireless infrastructures

The increased complexity of scale

The need for a continuous monitoring– everyday around the clock, mobile portals and Websites intended for the market

Our testing activity allows an operator to identify the weak points in the system and to become aware of the critical aspects which are normally outside his direct control. In so doing, we replace the end user and prove the quality of the service from different viewpoints, as required to the proper introduction of a new service.

The diagram below shows the process steps and the key figures involved.

We come from afar, and we have learned since as long time to develop and manage Corporate Information Systems. This is not a game for everyone. Technical skills are not enough. An overview and complex analysis capabilities are needed.

Each company represents a history in itself, characterized by a specific operational reality, by a precise positioning in its business and expertise strategic area, by its particular improvement objectives. No ready-made service package and no standardized approach can take account of all this. For us, on the contrary, this is essential.

Working on the Information Systems of a company is a delicate task. It means having a clear understanding of the context within which you operate and of the goals you set yourself, designing solutions that can seamlessly be integrated with the existing infrastructures, from the logical, functional and technological point of view. Sogetel designs and develops specific applications intended for the corporate market, inside an existing Information System or systems capable of automating a whole business process or procedure. For the design and implementation we have recourse to our collaborators’ skills and to the solid expertise background we are guaranteed by strategic links with vendors of established and innovative solutions.

Where we can intervene

Applications of Enterprise Content Management and Knowledge Management

Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Systems

Workflow management and procedures automation

Our approach

As regards the development, implementation and integrated management of the systems, Sogetel has developed over time a set of rules and practices aimed at guiding the work:

Modularity, both in the analysis and planning phases – in order to guarantee the compatibility with the existing one – and in the development phase.

Scalability and Quality of performance, guaranteed by a correct design of the architectural features.

Robustness, which allows the components of the server and the application logics to be reconfigured, added or removed without any interruptions in the supply of services to users, ensuring high system availability.

Safety, an essential aspect – taken into account with special care during the designing and implementation phase – given the sensitivity and confidentiality of the corporate data.

Change management, ensuring the simultaneous proper functioning of the new system and of the already existing ones (Integration Test) and adequate training of the staff to both the functional and processing novelties introduced by the new system.

Our talent and experience is applied to the realization of personal computing tools. It would seem something simple. It seems easy but, when our desktop applications are installed in hundreds of thousands of PC, the reliability of the software is fundamental.

Widgets are useful and funny applications which simplify the execution of usual operations and their diffusion is turning them into one of the main development instruments of online Social Marketing. It is a new way of seeing things and transferring information, but it can also be a different way of interacting with your customers. It is our present. And it will be your future.

What is a widget?

On many PCs and mobile phones there has been a wide-ranging spreading as regards the use of Widgets, web-based applications allowing the immediate and simplified access to some information present on the web. As a rule for example, if you want to know the weather forecasts on your town/city you have to open the browser, look for the weather Website with a search engine or in the bookmarks, load the Webpage and select the town/city. A Widget makes all this immediately accessible: in the settings it stores the desired town/city and automatically downloads from the Website the information relevant to the weather forecasts and displays it in a simple and immediate format. All this happens on the PC desktop or mobile phone display by simply clicking an icon. The function of a widget is therefore to simplify the user’s navigation and it is applicable to multiple domains.

Desktop and Mobile Widget

There are three different types of widget, all of which are able to receive contents in text, image, audio and video format.

Web Widget: can be published in blogs or social network pages, allowing you to share information and contents with your friends or customers.

Desktop Widget: allow receiving the contents of interest on the PC/Mac desktop at the time of the request.

Mobile Widget: display the favourite contents on the mobile phone desktop and represent a mix of Web and desktop widgets.

Sogetel operates on all three types, using Adobe Air as its reference platform.

Connection Manager Development

A Connection Manager allows connecting to the Web directly from a PC desktop via a data card, allowing the use of all the services of a mobile device (sending of SMS, MMS, address book management, etc.). Sogetel has acquired significant experience in the development of connection managers customized for different mobile carrier, for which it develops the whole range of services, using advanced and captivating graphic interfaces.

We develop any Software on the various “mobile computing” platforms today present on the market and we extend the usability of your Website also to mobile phones and smartphones. The world of “mobile” is our world.

With over a billion of terminals sold each year and the growing spreading of smartphones – rich in sophisticated navigation functions, localization and multimedia – this is the best moment to fully use the potential of the mobile world. We did this from the very beginning, and can help you satisfy yours needs and your customers’, making your services and systems available through mobile sites and mobile applications.

Mobile Web and Mobile Services

95% of the mobile terminals sold in 2008 have a web browser.
Our approach

During the development of a Web project, we give priority to the accessibility of the Website, to the scalability of its performance and to its usability, through the use of specific frameworks. Through an efficient development of the quality testing process and through the use of the most innovative programming technologies, we speed up the whole development cycle for Web applications, that we are summarizing below in three main phases:

Analysis and planning: we study and agree with the customer the application requirements, features and delivery timing, working in close contact so as to guarantee a final solution that satisfies all their needs. The subsequent planning will highlight any such problems that may arise or open points to be defined.

Development: in line with the Agile method, the work is subdivided into modules to be completed within agreed deadlines, with regular meetings with the customer on completion of each unit. This allows making changes or improvements at each project stage.

Testing: before the definitive release of the software, the product functions are checked so as to ensure the delivery of a solution perfectly in line with the initial requests.
